To preserve the gold plate for as long as possible, take it off when bathing, applying moisturiser, and let perfume completely dry before putting your pieces on.
Keep your piece stored in the jewellery box it came with, out of sunlight.
Silver:
Sterling silver pieces love to be worn as this keeps their shine but if you have to store them then just use the conceptf-8 cloth included to bring back their shine.
